Job Description

Healthy Gamer is seeking a skilled contractor to elevate our livestream production experience. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in video and audio production, a deep understanding of our community, and an eye for creative and engaging content. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality streams and managing various aspects of livestreams, including interactive features and talent coordination. Given the high-quality nature of Healthy Gamer livestreams, this role is also responsible for optimizing the content to be repurposed across secondary platforms. This role will evolve to fully maintain the HG ecosystem of content from archives to livestreams.

Responsibilities

• Set up and manage video and audio equipment for livestreams and video filming.
• Design and implement sets for livestreams.
• Oversee A/V production, ensuring smooth and high-quality streams.
• Manage livestream schedules and talent (primarily clinicians) to create high-quality educational content for the digital generations.
• Manage and implement interactive features such as emotes, commands, and profile management to elevate the livestream audience experience.
• Maintain brand consistency in assets, visuals, and overall livestream presentation.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during livestreams.
• Work with talent to brainstorm and capture ideas.
• Research, conceptualize, and script short-form content for the editing team.
• Provide notes for editors to repurpose livestreams for socials, short form, and other relevant formats.
• Optimize back catalogue content by implementing an archive system.
• Suggest best ways to repurpose livestream content including compilations, clips, podcast episodes, membership resources, or standalone YT videos.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience with video and audio production, A/V equipment, and streaming platforms.
• Familiarity with livestream interactive tools (emotes, chat commands, profile management).
• A solid understanding of the Healthy Gamer community, brand, and mission.
• Ability to work closely with talent and manage show running aspects.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot on the go.
• Ability to commute to Houston 1-2 times per month strongly preferred.

Good to Have

• Familiarity with Notion, Google Drive, Discord, Trello, Frame.io, Capcut.
• Experience working with a remote team.
• Previous experience with directing talent on set.
• Previous experience with YouTube livestreams and extensive knowledge of the platform as a whole.
