Job Description

Wood Mackenzie is the global data and analytics business for the renewables, energy, and natural resources industries, with a mission to provide reliable and actionable insights for a sustainable future. The Creative team at Wood Mackenzie is a multi-discipline design group focused on delivering a trusted visual brand via digital, print, and video assets. They partner with global teams to drive revenue generation through various marketing campaigns and events.

The role is centered around video editing and storytelling, requiring a combination of creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. The candidate will be responsible for editing interviews and promotional videos, storyboarding, and executing motion graphic projects. This role offers the opportunity to work within a busy, diverse, and friendly team that values innovation and a fresh perspective.

Requirements

You will have:

• Experience in video editing and animation within a similar role
• A degree or equivalent in art/video/digital design
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A showreel that showcases your experience and abilities
• A cover letter explaining your suitability for the role
• Experience editing short-form content such as interviews, webinars, and social media teasers
• Experience in creating and adding 2D motion graphics to video content
• A solid understanding of graphic design with a keen eye for composition and typography
• Proficiency in Apple’s FCPX ecosystem or Adobe’s Creative Suite
• Sound judgement in music selection for projects
• Experience in transcribing videos and adding captions
• An interest in the latest digital technologies and trends in video post-production

Desirables include:

• Experience with DSLR cameras, audio, and lighting equipment
• Experience working with freelancers for video shoots
• An interest in or experience with 3D animation software, particularly Cinema 4D
