Job Description

The Motion Graphics Designer is responsible for designing and animating motion graphic elements for various events, promotions, digital signage, pitches, advertisements, and special projects, including title and post-production work. The designer plays an integral role in every stage of the creative process, from concept development to editing and final production. This position requires expertise in branding and interface design to create digital marketing experiences for a diverse clientele.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5-7 years of graphic design experience, preferably in a professional services environment.
• A portfolio showcasing a variety of motion design skills with emphasis on conceptual design and typographical excellence.
• Expert level proficiency with Adobe CC programs including After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop; knowledge of Cinema 4D and other motion design tools is a plus.
• General skills in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced skills in PowerPoint.
• The ability to draw, sketch, and storyboard.
• An understanding of storytelling, camera moves, timing, and flow in animation.
• Experience in web and mobile design/animation, interactive, and UI/UX design is a plus.
• A designer’s eye with the ability to work within brand guidelines while creating original looks and styles.
• A willingness to learn and explore new creative software and tools.
• Familiarity with various video outputs and formats (e.g., Resolution, frame rate, aspect ratio).
• Excellent communication skills, able to convey ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment.
• A high level of creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to provide innovative insights when needed.

Benefits

For Westchester, the expected salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $110,000, with actual compensation determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
