Job Description

I am currently seeking a Freelance ML Engineer with strong expertise in Azure, NLP, and LLMs.

Language: English (German – nice to have)

Location: Remote

Start: ASAP

Duration: 6 months

We are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer with experience in LLMs, Generative AI (GenAI), Azure ML, and Vector Databases. The successful candidate will develop and deploy advanced machine learning models, optimize algorithms, and lead AI-driven innovation. This role requires deep knowledge of AI/ML frameworks, creative problem-solving abilities, and expertise in translating technical needs into scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Model Development and Deployment: Design, develop, and deploy ML models using Azure ML and OpenAI frameworks.
• Generative AI Expertise: Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) applications with LLMs and Vector DB for high-performance scalability.
• Vector Database Management: Efficiently manage and query large-scale data using vector databases.
• Integration and Optimization: Integrate ML models into systems while optimizing performance and accuracy.
• Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to meet business AI requirements.

Requirements

• Expertise with Azure Machine Learning services and platforms.
• Proven experience with OpenAI models and frameworks, including fine-tuning and deployment.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI and related methodologies.
• Proficiency in working with Vector Databases to handle complex, high-dimensional data.
• Strong Python skills, with experience in libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-Learn.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience managing end-to-end ML projects.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with NLP and text generation models.
• Knowledge of big data processing frameworks such as Spark.
• Familiarity with cloud-native data and ML services.
