Job Description

Candyspace are experts in designing, building, and optimizing digital products. We create websites, mobile apps, and commerce solutions for ambitious organizations investing in growth and digital transformation. Our clients include some of the world’s best-known brands, such as ITV, Rolls-Royce, Mazda, Mars, and Colgate.

We are seeking a logical thinker and creative problem solver to join our ever-growing UX Design team in London for a short contract. In this role, you will work on a project to create a single flow of multiple processes into a single interactive installation. You will collaborate with a diverse and inclusive team and will be involved in building products that both users and businesses love.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

Client Interaction

  • Confident in presenting to clients and articulating design thinking succinctly.
  • Able to explain the reasoning behind different UX methodologies.
  • Capable of pushing back on client feedback when necessary.
  • Understanding when to pragmatically accept client direction.

Wireframing

  • Good knowledge of Figma and Adobe XD, with the ability to quickly bring screens to life.
  • Creates pixel-perfect wireframes and recognizes when low-fidelity wireframes are appropriate.
  • Attention to detail with fonts, styling, hierarchy, and spacing.
  • Knowledge of creating functional prototypes in Figma.

Validating/User Testing

  • Desire to validate solutions with real users.
  • Understanding of quick guerilla testing and carefully executed usability tests.
  • Experience conducting tests remotely and face-to-face.
  • Ability to remain impartial while testing.

Iterating

  • Experience in incorporating user and stakeholder feedback into the design process.
  • Understanding of when to finesse existing solutions versus when to make drastic shifts.
  • Ability to gauge when enough feedback has been received to validate a specific idea.

High Fidelity Design

  • Solid proficiency in Figma and Photoshop for delivering polished UI.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, including video creation/editing skills.
  • Able to take wireframes to high-fidelity designs and make key design decisions.
  • Thinks logically and modularly to create atomic components for efficiency.
