Job Description

Our aim is to become a market leader in the provision of Electric Vehicle charging solutions to Local Authorities and Businesses as part of our strategy to lead the transition to zero carbon. The goal is to undertake an ambitious electric vehicle charging installation program, deploying high-volume and quality EV installations across the nation. The Frontend Developer will work within Zest’s IT team, collaborating with other developers to create a new platform and application suite.

Requirements

Key Accountabilities:

  • Design, build and document UX/UI functionality.
  • Ensuring application stability, scalability, security and performance.
  • Ensure alignment to coding standards.

Outcome, Results and Key Performance Indicators:

  • Documented solutions for all deliverables.
  • Re-creatable (automated build and test) for all deliverables.

Key Relationships:

  • Internal: PM, Product Owner, UX/UI Designer, Lead Software Engineer, Lead QA Engineer, (AWS) Platform Engineer.
  • External: As required.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • React, Typescript / JavaScript.
  • Tanstack.
  • Familiar with UI libraries, preferably PrimeReact.
  • Working with APIs, including ZOD, type management, and error handling.
  • Proficient in Sass and CSS modules, with a primary focus on Sass.
  • Knowledgeable in testing libraries such as Jest and React Testing Library.
  • Website tagging and analytics.
  • Experience with monorepo architecture, familiarity with Rush build tool.
  • Experience with Azure authentication using MSAL and Entra.
  • An understanding of SQL and NoSQL data structures.
  • The use of CI/CD pipeline.
  • React Native.

Qualifications:

  • Preferably degree level or equivalent.

Contract Details

Contract: 6 Month initial contract.

Salary: Up to £450 per day.

IR35 Status: Outside IR35.
