Job Description

We’re looking for a skilled, efficient Video Editor to join our Production Studio. As an Editor, you’ll collaborate with the creative teams during the post-production phase to successfully complete video projects. You will be responsible for assembling live-action footage, music, voice-over, sound effects, and motion graphics to create engaging finished video products that align with client goals. A strong sense of visual storytelling and a set of polished technical skills are essential for this role.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:

  • A proven work history of video editing experience.
  • Strong understanding of storytelling principles, composition, editing techniques, and post-production workflow.
  • Proficiency with professional editing tools, including the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within client brand guidelines.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Passion for filmmaking and keeping up to date on the latest industry trends.
  • Bonus skills/experience: Sound Mixing, Color Grading, DaVinci Resolve.

As an Editor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Being a student of storytelling and editing techniques, informed on current trends and classic styles.
  • Maintaining meticulous organization and keeping project workflow organized and well-documented.
  • Collaborating with team members and being open to feedback while standing firm for your ideas.
  • Managing multiple projects and tasks of varying complexities to meet deadlines.
  • Helping with story ideas and providing constructive feedback on production improvements.
  • Suggesting new practices and processes for post-production enhancement.
