Job Description
LANDR is a fast-growing audio company made up of creative technologists and music professionals, dedicated to revolutionizing the process for music makers. Our mission is to provide musicians with the freedom to create and be heard, while engaging over 6 million music creators through innovative experiences.
As Lead Product Designer, you will shape user experiences across our web platforms, mobile apps, and audio plugins. You will lead a team of product designers, fostering collaboration and driving the creative direction of LANDR’s product suite. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to craft cohesive, user-centered design solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design Leadership: Guide the design vision and execution for LANDR’s products, delivering innovative experiences.
- Team Development: Manage, mentor, and inspire the product design team, promoting creativity and professional growth.
- Design: Create user flows, wireframes, and interfaces while innovating the user experience.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product management, engineering, and marketing to ensure design aligns with objectives and feasibility.
- User-Centric Focus: Oversee user tests to understand behaviors and preferences, translating insights into design improvements.
- Consistency and Quality: Maintain a cohesive design language and contribute to refining the design system.
- Innovation: Drive improvement and stay updated with industry trends and tools.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience designing user experiences, particularly for mobile applications.
- Empathic user approach, especially towards music creators.
- Excellent understanding of web and mobile development opportunities and constraints.
- Strong skills in conceptual design, storytelling, communication, and presentation.
- Education in design, human-computer interaction, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (marketing, design, development, product).
- Understanding of online performance metrics and proficiency with analytics tools.
- Proficient in Figma and familiar with optimization tools.
- Basic conceptual understanding of front-end development (HTML, CSS).
- Strong knowledge of web typography, digital trends, and music/art.
