Job Description

We are seeking a Visual / Graphic Designer II with 2-3 years of professional experience to bring creative concepts to life, elevate our brand identity, and support our marketing, product, and communications teams. This role will oversee digital design across our website and online platforms to enhance user experience and engagement. The position is based in Chicago, IL, and is hybrid, requiring 3-4 days in the office.

Requirements

Experience: 2-3 years in graphic/visual and digital design, ideally in a corporate or B2B environment.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma or Sketch, with familiarity in PowerPoint and other presentation tools. Experience with web design is required.

Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a range of digital and print design work, particularly in data visualization, layout design, branding, and web/digital design.

Creativity: Demonstrated ability to bring unique and visually appealing concepts to life while adhering to brand guidelines.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Attention to Detail: Highly organized, with the capability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high-quality work under deadlines.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field is preferred.

• Design and produce visually compelling graphics for marketing campaigns, social media, presentations, website content, and digital assets.
• Lead digital design efforts for Equilar’s website, ensuring a consistent brand identity and optimal user experience.
• Develop and maintain HTML and CSS code for web pages, ensuring responsive and accessible designs; proficiency in JavaScript is a plus.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, and web development teams to create cohesive visual strategies.
• Translate data and complex concepts into engaging infographics, charts, and visual assets.
• Edit and produce high-quality videos for marketing campaigns and social media.
• Maintain Equilar’s visual brand identity across various touchpoints.
• Assist with the design of client-facing materials, reports, and print collateral.
