Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Product Designer 3 for a contract position with a client in Toronto, ON (Hybrid). The role requires experience with modern design tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or Sketch, focusing on designing and implementing user interfaces. Preference is given to candidates with relevant experience in large organizations. Successful candidates will help build inclusive Microsoft web and AI experiences, collaborate to create customer-driven experiences, and utilize their passion for web and AI technology.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with designers, researchers, product managers, product planners, and developers from the early stages through implementation.

- Design relevant and impactful interactions and experiences by understanding customer motivations, behaviors, and needs.

- Contribute to strategic planning aligning the design process with business goals and customer value.

- Propose creative solutions to complex customer journeys by mapping end-to-end experiences.

- Utilize Fluent Design language and contribute to the Advertiser Design System.

Requirements

- Open to non-traditional backgrounds and equivalent experiences.

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Interaction Design, Graphic/Communications Design, Industrial or Product Design, Human-Computer Interactions, Psychology, or a related field.

- Experience in designing and implementing user interfaces in professional, volunteer, hobbyist, or freelance settings.

- Fluency in modern design tools like Figma (required for design-focused roles), Adobe Creative Suite, or Sketch.

- A demonstrated sense of interaction design focused on user experience fundamentals, including accessibility and inclusive design.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to energize teams and advocate for ideas.

- Knowledge of UX research methodologies and skills in analyzing research data.

- Strong problem-solving skills as demonstrated through visual design skills or user research rigor.

- Resume must include a link to a design portfolio and/or user research case studies.
