Job Description

The Phoenix office of SmithGroup is looking for a Senior Graphic Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing proposals, qualifications, and presentation graphics; executing the design for both printed and digital pieces; collaborating with team members across disciplines and geographic locations; maintaining knowledge of design trends; and supporting the evolution of the SmithGroup brand.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4-6 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Bridge, Word, Acrobat, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Deltek Vision, MS Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, and Database programs preferred.
- Ability to understand principles of layout and application to marketing materials.
- An eye for design details, such as typography, alignment, hierarchy, etc.
- Ability to summarize text and craft an effective written message when needed.
- Knowledge of the print process, proper file setup for print production, and experience working directly with print vendors.
- Understanding of video creation and video editing tools, such as Adobe Premier Pro, is a plus.
- Knowledge of other presentation technologies is a plus.
