Job Description

Slate is looking for a Front End Engineer II to build customer-facing experiences in the electric vehicle space. Applicants must thrive and succeed in a fast-paced startup environment where their contributions have a direct impact on the company’s direction and success, without being hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.

In this role, you will work closely with other Software Engineers and Front-End Engineers to design the system architecture, collaborate with UX and Product teams to create new experiences, prototype new technology, code and test front-end components, and ensure end-to-end code quality through various testing methods.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

• 4+ years of professional experience in Front-End, Web, or Mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

• 4+ years of professional experience utilizing Computer Science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis).

• 4+ years of experience working in the Agile methodology for software development.

• Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.

• Experience with common Front-End technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.

• Knowledge of web services technologies, such as REST, HTTP, WSDL, and XSD.

• Experience building scalable, distributed, Front-End experiences.
