Job Description

As a .NET Software Developer at PHSA in Burnaby, BC, you will lead the implementation of provincial solutions aimed at enhancing the health and safety of healthcare workers. You will collaborate with a dedicated team to transform product visions into reality. Your responsibilities include evaluating operational feasibility, documenting solutions, planning and developing enterprise applications, and effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

To qualify for this role, you should possess:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Five to seven (5-7) years of recent relevant experience in architecture planning, design, development, and delivery of highly available enterprise applications.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft stack for coding and designing solutions.

Skills and knowledge required include:

  • Commitment to creating lasting reconciliation in Canada in line with TRC (2015) and BC’s Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
  • Knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities impacting indigenous communities.
  • Familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety, anti-racism, and relevant reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).

Technical Skills

You should be familiar with the following technologies:

  • Front-end: Chart.js, Angular, HTML, CSS, RESTful API integration, ability to translate mock-ups to web pages.
  • Back-end: .NET framework, Entity framework, UnitOfWork design pattern, RESTful API development, MS SQL Server design/development, SQL/LINQ, AD/ADFS/OpenID.

Additional Information

This is a casual full-time position (37.5 hours per week) with a wage ranging from $33.00 to $43.00 per hour, including an additional 13% in lieu of benefits and paid vacation.
