Job Description
The Senior Designer role is a Fixed-Term Contract (FTC) for 12 months covering maternity leave and will report to the SVP of Character Art & Prod Development, Global Creative Group based in New York. You will collaborate with major publishers across EMEA to create a wide range of products, including books, magazines, sticker albums, audio devices, digital publishing, comics, and part works.
This role will be responsible for overseeing product approvals for various licensees, assisting with in-house book development, and providing creative support to partners to develop innovative, high-quality publishing products. The senior designer will help set design direction across Paramountās successful portfolio, including PAW Patrol, SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Garfield, Dora, Star Trek, MTV, Comedy Central brands, and Paramount Pictures.
Requirements
ā¢ BA or Technical qualification related to graphic design or the product field.
ā¢ Minimum of 5 Years Experience in Design/Publishing with a good portfolio.
ā¢ Strong knowledge and passion for childrenās publishing, preferably using licensed characters.
ā¢ Experience with covermount/magazine gift development is highly desired.
ā¢ Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop) & Microsoft Office Programs.
ā¢ Excellent creative ability, strong attention to detail across typography, design, and layout.
ā¢ Excellent organisational and time management skills.
ā¢ Excellent file management skills.
ā¢ Pro-active team player and highly responsive to requests but can work independently.
ā¢ Enthusiasm, energy, and a can-do attitude with a hunger to learn.
ā¢ The ability to critically review oneās own work.
