Job Description

We are looking for a talented Remote Freelance Junior Video Editor to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling through video and a strong proficiency in video editing software. As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for assembling recorded footage into high-quality finished products that align with our company’s vision and brand identity. You will work closely with our content creators and directors to bring their ideas to life through compelling visuals.

Responsibilities

  • Edit video footage to create engaging and visually appealing content for various platforms.
  • Choose music that will enhance your content and dictate the pace of the video.
  • Elevate video quality with sound design and color grading.
  • Enhance sound quality using editing software and techniques.
  • Add graphics, animations, and special effects to enhance the video content.
  • Ensure consistency in style, branding, and messaging across all video projects.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm and develop ideas for video projects.
  • Meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Media Encoder.
  • Ability to manipulate music and sound design in order to create memorable moments and highlight the most important parts of the video.
  • Experience in color grading with footage filmed in S-log3 color space.
  • Strong understanding of video production techniques, equipment, and terminology.
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of motion graphics and visual effects.
  • Portfolio showcasing previous video editing work.
  • Cutting a 30-second video using the provided footage.

Additional Information

We would like you to create a 30-second long video using the provided footage. Use any parts of the dialogue you see fit best. You’re free to add any stock footage b-roll you feel would work best (watermarked footage is ok to use). You’re also free to use any genre of music you feel works best. We encourage you to use music “ramp-ups” and “stop-downs” to create memorable moments by changing the pace and enhancing it with your sound design. Please do not use music only in the background; have fun with it, let the music drive your video. Implementing any kind of motion graphics is a plus.
