Job Description

As a Social Media Specialist, you will attract and interact with targeted virtual communities and network users. Your goal is to gradually achieve superior customer engagement, increase website traffic, and drive revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing roadmap. A solid understanding of social media channels and optimizing content for engagement is essential.

Your responsibilities will include building and executing a diverse social media strategy across various markets such as local businesses, brand awareness, attractions, and both domestic and international feeder markets.

You will report on market trends and competitor insights through digital research, engage with the digital audience on social platforms, and manage the yearly digital marketing calendar while communicating quarterly updates and results.

Additionally, you will prepare and suggest strategic digital ad campaigns, create monthly content calendars, and find innovative ways to communicate digitally in line with market trends. The role requires collaboration with hotel teams and PR and marketing agencies to enhance online presence.

Responsibilities include managing digital ad campaign spend, account management of Regional and National Tourism offices, and ensuring hotel/restaurant visibility with up-to-date photography and offers.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess a creative and innovative approach with strong commercial acumen. An analytical mindset is necessary to report on market trends and support various central departments with social media marketing. Experience in account development plans and ensuring ROI from hotel memberships is also required.

In addition, the ability to support inbound paid fam trip requests and participate in email marketing campaigns is essential. Networking attendance when possible is an advantage.
