Job Description

The TEGNA Design Tank in Denver, Colorado is seeking a talented Motion Graphic Designer with strong 3D skills to join its internal creative department. This role involves creating complex animated graphics, infographics, kinetic typography, and conducting video pre and post-production. The Motion Graphic Designer will collaborate with a team of artists and designers to support TEGNA’s television stations on a daily basis, working closely with the Creative Director, Design Director, and Production Coordinators. Constant feedback will be provided during projects.

Requirements

Candidate must have had formal training in design/art, preferably with a focus on motion, at a trade school or college. Strong 3-D skills are required as this role will be involved in many 3-D projects. An Associate or Bachelor’s degree is preferred, along with broadcast experience. A minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a motion graphic designer in a professional setting is preferred, although recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Proficiency in Adobe products (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects), Cinema 4D, and Premiere Pro is also desired, with any Chyron experience being a plus. A professional portfolio showcasing compelling designs is required. Strong customer service and communication skills are necessary, along with the ability to perform under tight deadlines and react positively to change and direction. Flexible scheduling, including availability during days, evenings, and weekends, is required.

Salary

The pay range for this position is $22 - $26 USD per hour.
