Job Description

This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days/week in the office, located in Mississauga. Our start-up client provides innovative solutions to help pets thrive throughout their entire lives, focusing on prevention, support, and rehabilitation products trusted by various veterinarians, universities, and rehabilitation facilities. They operate direct to consumer through platforms like Chewy and Amazon, while also engaging with veterinarian businesses.

As a Product Marketing Manager, you will lead the development of positioning, messaging, and competitive differentiation for product lines. Responsibilities include conducting market research, managing marketing activities throughout the product lifecycle, and executing go-to-market strategies for product launches. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, gather customer insights, create compelling product content, evaluate project performance, and report to the Director of Marketing.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in product marketing within the consumer packaged goods or pet care industry.
• Proven ability to strategize the full lifecycle of a product from conception to cessation.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects, timelines, budgets, and stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate with senior leadership and contribute thoughtfully.
• Experience in a fast-paced start-up environment.
• Experience with direct to consumer brands, ideally in ecommerce, retail, or CPG.
• Strong communication skills and a big-picture thinker with a creative growth mindset.
• Proven track record of strong written communication.
• Strong understanding of foundational marketing principles.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, along with project management tools (Asana, Monday.com, Clickup).
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
