Job Description
Our client, a large NSW Government Organisation, is seeking a Lead UX/UI Designer to join their team. The Lead UX/UI Designer will lead a team of UX/UI designers as part of a multi-disciplinary project team focused on the design, development, and implementation of digital services that achieve business outcomes and improve business efficiencies and processes. This role is integral to the Digital Case File (DCF) transformation, a complex business initiative involving multiple stakeholders and aiming for end-to-end digitisation for high-profile stakeholders.
As the project transitions from the discovery phase, a delivery team is being formed to develop forms and workspaces integrated with several inter-agency systems. The Digital Customer Experience Team is looking for a Lead UX/UI Designer to help guide this significant transformation.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver optimised customer outcomes through new digital capabilities using the Digital.NSW design system.
- Drive ongoing development of a human-centred customer service culture supported by effective policy and process frameworks.
- Provide team leadership expertise, mentoring, and best practice guidance for programs or projects.
- Manage product design through discovery, framing, iterative development, and continuous improvement within a Human-Centered Design (HCD) framework.
- Develop viable and sustainable solutions within technical constraints and brand guidelines aligning customer needs and business requirements.
Selection Criteria:
- Over 10 years of experience in the development and delivery of UX/UI solutions.
- Advanced skills in industry-leading software and technologies, including Adobe Photoshop, Figma, InVision, Jira, Confluence, Trello, and Google Suite.
- Ability to understand analytics data for data-driven decisions and design for personas.
- Experience working in agile and lean environments.
- Experience in delivering small to large UI projects across websites and apps.
- Good to have knowledge of Java, JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, and XML.
Additional Information
The position offers a contract until 01/08/2025 with the potential for multi-year extension at a highly sought after NSW Government Organisation, alongside a highly competitive daily rate up to $900.00. The role is based in Sydney CBD.
