Job Description

This role is fully remote within the U.S., with a slight preference for Miami, FL. We are seeking an experienced Frontend Engineer to lead a team of talented Frontend Engineers and drive the development of user-facing applications. In this role, you will be instrumental in setting technical direction, mentoring your team, and collaborating directly with product, management, and other departments to achieve business goals. You will be responsible for designing and implementing frontend solutions using cutting-edge technologies like React, TypeScript, and Styled Components. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our product and user experience while contributing to the company’s strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of frontend engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Architect, design, and implement responsive, visually appealing, and performant web applications.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define priorities and deliver on business objectives.
  • Drive technical excellence within the team by establishing and maintaining coding standards, conducting thorough code reviews, and fostering a culture of quality.
  • Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical challenges to ensure the stability and performance of the frontend applications.
  • Partner with other Engineering, Machine Learning, and Infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of features.
  • Monitor and optimize application performance metrics, including page load times and responsiveness.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our frontend stack remains modern and efficient.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional experience as a frontend engineer, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
  • Deep expertise in React and strong experience with modern frontend tools and libraries.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams, fostering growth and collaboration.
  • Strong understanding of web performance optimization, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks like Jest and react-testing-library.
  • Familiarity with backend technologies and APIs (hands-on experience is a plus).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Experience working in fast-paced startup environments or similarly dynamic settings.
  • Reside in the United States with authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Prior experience in the mortgage technology industry is a plus but not required.
