Job Description

Welcome to the world of land-based gaming at Light & Wonder. Our Gaming team builds cutting-edge technology, products, and content for the most iconic casinos and operators across the globe. We are looking for a candidate who can use their expertise in various 3D game art areas to guide our practices from iterative prototyping to final execution. The candidate should be team-oriented, collaborative, and possess the ability to inspire others in game development while staying current on industry trends.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Comprehensive understanding of objects and character art creation.
• Strong proficiency in industry-standard 3D workflows and innovative techniques.
• A portfolio showcasing practical work with detailed breakdowns.
• Strong understanding of authoring PBR and stylized materials.
• Ability to create high-resolution 3D sculpts, finished renders, and low polygon game assets.
• Experience partnering with other artists and designers to solve complex pipeline problems.
• Strong understanding of design principles, including composition, form, and surfacing.
• Experience in game art creation beyond 3D assets, including Concept, Lighting, VFX, Animation, and Rendering.
• Knowledge of best practices in modelling, sculpting, and procedural techniques.

Experience, Education and Qualification:

• A minimum of 5+ years of professional 3D Art experience with commercial projects.
• Strong experience in 3D modelling, texturing, lighting, rigging, and rendering.
• Proficiency in 3D modelling software such as Blender, 3ds Max, Maya, Zbrush, or Cinema 4D.
• Strong skills in texturing tools like Adobe Photoshop or Substance Painter.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Highly Desirable Skills or Experience:

• Proven animating skills.
• Familiarity with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
• Experience in the slot gaming industry or related fields.

Working Conditions
