Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and driven Junior BI Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to turn raw data into actionable insights, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role is focused on designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards while automating reporting processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in BI development or a related role.
• Proficiency in at least one BI tool such as Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau, or Zoho Analytics.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and data modeling concepts.
• Familiarity with data integration and ETL processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

The role involves the following key responsibilities:

• Reporting and Visualization Development
• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to collect formal briefs, define objectives, identify data requirements, and clarify key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Dashboard Mock-Up Creation: Use tools like draw.io to design and propose visual layouts of dashboards, focusing on delivering actionable insights. Secure feedback and approval from the CDO and stakeholders.
• Dashboard Development: Build visually appealing and interactive dashboards tailored to various business needs in tools like Zoho Analytics, Looker Studio, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Dataset Preparation and Data Modelling
• Work closely with data engineers and scientists to prepare, structure, and model datasets for dashboard integration.
• Ensure data is clean, organized, and optimised for visualisation purposes.
• Automation of Reporting Processes
• Automate recurring reporting tasks using BI tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual workload.
• Schedule updates to ensure stakeholders access the latest data in real-time.
• Data Accuracy and Integrity
• Conduct routine audits to validate the accuracy and consistency of data used in reports and dashboards.
• Resolve data quality issues promptly to maintain high standards of reporting.
• Custom Visualization and Performance Optimization
• Design custom visualisations to meet unique stakeholder needs, presenting complex data in an easily digestible format.
• Continuously optimize dashboard performance for faster load and query execution times.
• Collaboration and Communication
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
• Communicate findings and insights effectively through presentations and written reports.
