Job Description

We’re looking for a freelance motion graphics designer who knows how to breathe life into business subjects with detailed, often complex content. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working within a marketing team and be driven by deadlines to create dynamic, visually interesting content. While character animation is a required skill, this is not a job for people looking to make character-driven feature films. We primarily tell stories with marketing information as the backbone.

The ideal candidate will have expert skills in After Effects CC, with additional skills in Premiere and Cinema 4D desired. Additional skills in HTML5 animation using Hype are a big plus. This is a remote-only position and candidates will need their own hardware.

Requirements

• Strong skills in motion graphics, particularly with After Effects CC.
• Experience with Premiere and Cinema 4D.
• Character animation skills.
• Additional skills in HTML5 animation using Hype are a big plus.
• Ability to create dynamic, visually interesting content under deadlines.
• Proven experience in storyboarding and working with marketing teams.
• Must have a reel demonstrating technical ability and storytelling capability.
• Candidates must have their own hardware for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Storyboard concepting with writers and in-house designers to develop the look and feel of videos.
• Work closely with the creative director to meet the marketing goals of each project.
• Create all animation, from start to finish.
• Manage additional freelance resources and work as animation director when needed.
