Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Designing, developing, and implementing front end code, ensuring attractive and effective user interfaces.
- Translating technical systems specifications into working, tested applications.
- Developing detailed programming specifications, writing/generating code, compiling data-driven programs, maintaining, and conducting unit tests.
- Troubleshooting technical problems during software operation, providing assistance in implementation, conversion, and migrations.
Requirements
General Skills:
- Experience in programming and analysis.
- Ability to collaborate with IT Professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Experience in structured methodologies for application development, design, implementation, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in design, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting applications.
- Familiarity with object and/or third generation language development tools.
- Experience in one or more programming languages.
- Expertise in application design, latest design patterns, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with relational and hierarchical database technologies.
- Experience with information retrieval packages and query languages.
- Familiarity with one or more communications protocols.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- A team player with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
Front End Skills:
- Proficient in coding and using artwork to deliver a complete user interface.
- Experience creating web interfaces for large websites.
- Familiarity with complex large-scale systems.
- Experience with cross-browser compatibility and responsive frameworks.
- Knowledge of social media APIs and product strategy definition.
- Interaction with external third parties for partnerships, licensing opportunities, and beta programs.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge and experience in programming Internet-ready applications and rapid application development (RAD) methodologies.
- Understanding of Information Management principles and practices.
- Experience with middleware, product installation scripts, and troubleshooting post-implementation issues.
- Conducting design walkthrough sessions with project teams.
- Understanding of AODA regulations and providing user/system documentation when required.
Experience and Skill Set Requirements
Must Haves:
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Experience with React framework and TypeScript.
- Experience with Node.js and Next.js.
- Some experience in Azure infrastructure environment.
- Experience in testing custom developments.
Skill Set Requirements:
- Experience building and testing RESTful APIs.
- Working knowledge of Jamstack Architecture.
- Experience with responsive design, front-end testing, and debugging techniques.
- Expertise in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and CSS Frameworks.
- Working knowledge of DevOps processes, including task boards and pipelines.
- Experience with headless content management systems.
- Creating front end functionality for login pages, profile creation, notifications, and self-service sign-up.
Communication Skills
- Strong documentation skills, including solution documentation and reports.
- Ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly to maintain a high level of customer service.
- Ability to communicate designs and development in clear terms.
