Job Description

The Video Producer/Editor (VPE) at The Nature Conservancy (TNC) manages and implements storytelling content tactics to advocate for change. This role is responsible for editing and producing films, with an emphasis on creating engaging, audience-centered storytelling that supports TNCā€™s conservation mission. The VPE will work both independently and collaboratively to tailor content according to project requirements while ensuring adherence to ethical storytelling standards and legal compliance.

Requirements

To be considered for the role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelorā€™s degree in a related field and 5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working with a wide range of clients and subjects, tailoring storytelling to diverse audiences.
  • Advanced expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing, and familiarity with Adobe After Effects is a plus.
  • Strong skills in creative ideation, developing creative briefs, and collaborating with clients.
  • Experience in sound design, sound mixing, and color correction for video.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience managing client/customer relationships and organizing multiple projects.
  • Commitment to ethical storytelling and inclusive collaboration.
  • Proficiency in creating short-form branded content, including 2-5 minute films and social media videos.
  • Multi-lingual skills and cross-cultural experience are appreciated.

Additional Information

Responsibilities of the VPE include managing creative projects, supervising project teams, directing individual projects, collaborating on branding initiatives, and developing new video concepts. Occasional travel is required for shoots, meetings, and trainings.
