Job Description
SoftLabs is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for ICT Labour hire at their technology consulting locations in ACT, QLD, VIC. Software Engineers in this role oversee software development projects, write optimized code, and provide technical leadership. They are responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of software produced by their team. The Development Expert role involves designing, creating, testing, and documenting new and amended software components based on supplied specifications, in accordance with agreed development and security standards.
Requirements
Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Design and develop ICT solutions across web/desktop applications, web services, and batch jobs using C#, Microsoft .NET framework, and SQL Server.
- Translate business needs into ICT system requirements for enhancements to various bespoke Microsoft .NET applications and corporate applications.
- Conduct technical analysis, design, prototyping, and maintenance activities related to Microsoft .NET or Identity and Access Management solutions.
- Analyze and identify shortcomings in software and communicate effectively with the team.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and security measures for web applications.
Technical skills required:
- Experience in solution design and development of Microsoft .NET or custom Identity and Access Management solutions.
- Ability to deliver quality system solutions within an ICT project environment.
- Experience with Microsoft technology stack (Microsoft .NET, SQL Server, Azure, PowerShell).
- Experience with C#, PowerShell, or scripting languages for user provisioning and integration with Identity and Access management solutions.

- Testing: Level 4 (SFIA)
Desirable Criteria:
- Configuration management: Level 2 (SFIA)
Additional Information
- Initial Contract Duration: 12 Months
- Extension Term: Up to a maximum of 24 Months
- Location: ACT, QLD, VIC
- Security Requirements: Must be able to obtain Baseline
- Working Arrangements: Hybrid (in-office for the first 6 weeks, minimum of 3 days/week onsite thereafter); Reduced Activity Periods (RAP) may be implemented.
