Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Developer for an exciting contract opportunity with one of our long-term clients. The successful applicant will be playing a key role in building high-quality software that meets business and performance needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Unity development and software design and will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop robust, scalable, and maintainable software solutions
- Contribute to DevOps responsibilities, including version control management, code repository decisions, and deployment strategies
- Collaborate closely with QA teams to ensure thorough software testing and validation, while maintaining detailed documentation throughout
- Partner with cross-functional teams within the organization to translate creative concepts into technical specifications
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, retrospectives, planning, reviews) and keep Jira updated with project status
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex technical challenges, optimizing code for performance, scalability, security, and stability
Requirements
Key Qualifications and Skills:
- 6+ years of software development experience
- Extensive experience in leading the development cycle (design, develop, integrate, test, prototype)
- Experienced with Unity development and game engines
- Experienced in C#, C++, .Net, and SQL development
- Proven understanding of object-oriented programming principles
- Ability to work within highly complex and integrated environments
- Solid knowledge of software design, architecture, and best practices, with experience in cross-platform development
- Expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), version control systems and SDLC processes
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills, with a technical mindset and attention to detail
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud services to enhance scalability and performance
Additional Information
Pay Rate: $75-95/hour. Please note that the posted pay range for this role may vary based on seniority, qualifications, or prior experience.
