Job Description
We are recruiting for three part-time Digital Learning Designer roles for our College of Business and Law (CBL) and College of Health, Science & Society (CHSS). There are three positions available: one role at 20 hours per week, the second at 22.5 hours per week, and the third at 30 hours per week. All positions are 6-month fixed-term contracts.
The role will involve:
- Becoming fluent with UWE’s core tool set to support staff and address their learning and teaching needs.
- Supporting ongoing technological transitions and rollouts.
- Communicating with academic staff via emails, face-to-face interactions, blog posts, training, and workshops.
- Providing expertise in digital learning and teaching as part of Learning Design workshops.
- Advocating for and embedding digital skills, inclusivity, and accessibility in all activities.
- Exploring data analytics and other evidence to support best practices.
- Willingness to undertake CPD (Continuous Professional Development) and horizon scanning activities to share learnings with others.
Requirements
About You:
- You are ambitious, inclusive, innovative, collaborative, and enterprising.
- You have an interest in technology, are a fast learner, and may have a background in teaching, training, or mentoring.
- You possess high attention to detail and comprehensive IT literacy.
- You have excellent communication skills and can work both independently and as part of a team.
Location
This position is based at our lively Frenchay campus, with occasional work at our City Campus in Bristol city centre, which includes Bower Ashton Studios, Arnolfini, Spike Island, and Watershed.

Further Information
