Job Description

The Content Factory is a growing content, PR, and social media marketing firm looking for a PR Assistant to support our expanding list of clients. This is a virtual position, requiring work from home or any location with WiFi. Initially, this role will be freelance (1099-contract) with potential for full-time employment. You will collaborate with a team of 10 members across various states and countries, producing engaging case studies for a diverse range of clients, from billion-dollar brands to high-end supplement startups.

What You’ll Do

• Light upkeep of The Content Factory’s (TCF) social media, potentially leading to client social media management.
• Identify PR opportunities and media influencers using provided training platforms (e.g., Qwoted, MuckRack, reporter Substacks).
• Assist in pitching clients to major media outlets to help build your connections and reputation.
• Post/update TCF blog posts (no writing required).
• Update client-facing spreadsheets with media placement data.
• Conduct general content marketing research and complete special projects as needed.
• Basic graphic design skills for social posts (using tools like Canva or Photoshop) are a plus.

The core team operates on EST, but we are open to remote work. Work hours are expected to align with EST times for conference calls as needed. The environment is conducive for learning, and we provide step-by-step guides and training for the right candidate. Opportunities for advancement may arise based on performance and expertise.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, capable of writing compelling emails, and familiar with Google Workspace, Canva, and Slack (training provided for specific tools). A minimum of one year of marketing experience is preferred.
