Location: Canadian Remote

Compensation: $145k-$210k CAD

Start Date: Immediately

We are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer passionate about delivering innovative, world-class products. You will take pride in high-quality code, adhere to best practices, and own every feature, product, or codebase you work on. Collaborating closely with the Head of Engineering, Product Managers, and stakeholders, you will execute the product roadmap to address both business and customer needs. We are an early-stage vertical SaaS business dedicated to revolutionizing the historically underserved Waste Management Industry with cutting-edge technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field.

• Expert-level understanding of NodeJS, and frameworks such as ExpressJS, Fast, and LoopBack (preferred).

• Familiarity with modern DevOps tools such as Ansible, Docker, Terraform, Fabric, Kubernetes, etc.

• Understanding of patterns and techniques for building scalable back-end infrastructure including caching, rate limiting, authentication, and authorization schemes.

What You Will Do

• Tackle challenging projects, from refactoring to developing complex new features.

• Collaborate with engineering leadership to refine the product roadmap.

• Enhance the scalability of our application through code, architecture, and infrastructure improvements.

• Lead by example as a craftsman of software development.

• Work within an agile environment and software development life cycle.
