Job Description

Role: Ecommerce Content Writer– Hybrid in Batley

Salary: up to £35k DOE

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

General overview: We are exclusively working with a retail business who are currently launching a new brand. This role is a new role created to assist with the creation of high-quality, engaging content for their new ecommerce websites, built on Magento 2. The Content Writer will ensure consistency across all digital platforms. This role includes writing SEO-optimised product descriptions, category pages, blog posts, and marketing materials to drive conversions and support the brand voice.

Responsibilities

• Write compelling product descriptions, category pages, and promotional materials for multiple brands using Magento 2.
• Develop SEO-optimised content to enhance discoverability and traffic to each brand’s website.
• Create blog posts and email campaigns that align with the unique tone of voice of each brand.
• Collaborate with marketing and design teams to produce content that supports brand-specific campaigns and objectives.
• Analyse content performance using analytics tools and refine strategies to suit individual brand needs.
• Ensure consistency in tone and quality across all content for each brand.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Content Writer with a track record of optimising content through SEO.
• Experience of working with Magento 2 or within an Ecommerce focused business would be ideal.
• Results-driven mindset with the ability to measure key metrics.
• Experience of working within a product-based company.
• Experience in the retail or furniture industry is a plus.
