Job Description

The Senior Video Editor is an advanced level role, responsible for the development and execution of video communications designed to impact POWER’s customers, candidates, and employees. This role involves leading the development of content ideas for the Brand Department through executing the post-production creative process, which includes file and project organization, collaboration with the creative team, compelling editing, technical and creative optimization, and the delivery of final products. The Senior Video Editor also collaborates with leadership in planning and delegating post-production assignments, provides quality control reviews of works in progress, mentors Video Editors and Junior Video Editors, and assists in the development and implementation of department operating procedures and technical standards.

• Proficiency in utilizing departmental tools and adherence to rigorous technical and procedural standards.

• Proficiency in building, leading, and developing individuals and teams.

Education and Experience

• 7-10 years experience in a post-production environment, emphasizing creative storytelling.
• 7-10 years experience working in Adobe Creative Cloud, with emphasis on Premiere, After Effects, and Audition.
• Proficiency in audio mixing and color correction.
• Experience working with a team-based media asset management system.
• Experience with Project Management software.

Responsibilities

• Lead post-production responsibilities on all assigned projects, ensuring timeliness and budget adherence.
• Drive cross-functionality in project goal and scope development.
• Oversee shot list and production schedule contributions.
• Ensure project setup, asset management, metadata tagging, edits, reviews, and revisions are executed.
• Lead planning meetings for assigned projects.
• Maintain effective communication with project teams to meet timelines and deliverables.
• Execute high-profile projects with technical expertise and focus on efficiency.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop post-production approaches for projects.
• Assist in developing and training post-production standards.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Mentor Video Editor and Junior Video Editor roles.
• Track working time spent on assigned projects for reporting purposes.

Work Environment
