Job Description

As a Facial Animator at Cloud Imperium Games (CIG), you will be part of a team dedicated to animating the facial and dialogue performances of all characters. Your role involves creating realistic, industry-leading facial animations from high-quality head cam footage and hand-keyed animation as necessary. You will collaborate closely with actors on performance capture shoots and work with various teams, including the Motion Capture team and Audio department. Founded in 2012 by renowned game developer Chris Roberts, CIG is a large independent studio focusing on next-generation AAA games, fostering creativity and innovation.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of Maya, MotionBuilder, and equivalent software.
• Ability to create fluid, smooth, and realistic animations with 3D characters, demonstrated in a showreel.
• Ability to gather, analyze, and act on feedback from the team, with an openness to critique and a willingness to improve.
• Capability to identify technical and developmental risks and devise innovative solutions to overcome them.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively, including with those outside your department.
• Eager to challenge own ideas and those of peers in pursuit of excellence.
