Job Description
The Role involves taking responsibility for delivering effective analysis to enhance our clients’ media buying and planning by running analysis and sharing insights across the planning and client teams, leading to better business decisions. This role focuses on a main client, enhancing their media through hands-on data analysis. The position is a 4-month Fixed Term Contract and does not currently require managing direct reports, although this could change as the work expands.
Key Responsibilities
- Consulting / client problem-solving: Listen and understand client issues, gather information, consider the contribution of data and analytics, and suggest options.
- Client Liaison - Mid-level: Liaise with mid-level clients, take briefs, and suggest outline responses.
- Data Formatting: Format data using Excel or R, create data frames, understand data matrices, and prepare data for analysis.
- Data Specification: Write data specifications based on specific project requirements.
- Descriptive Analysis: Undertake basic descriptive analysis in Excel or R, such as histograms, X,Y plots, correlations, etc.
- Model Building and Testing: Run standard and advanced models, review results, and test additional specifications to answer client questions.
- New Business - Pitching: Contribute to the pitch process using data to generate insight or drive increased optimization and effectiveness.
- Presentation - Writing: Write persuasive presentations that are easily accessible to clients, focusing on generating actionable insights.
- Project Management: Manage day-to-day projects to ensure delivery on brief and on time.
- Recruitment: Source and interview candidates for levels below your position.
- Team Management: Manage grades below your level.
- Training: Help train other team members and contribute to agency training.
Requirements
- Experience in a data science/advanced analytics role within an agency or business context.
- Master’s degree in quantitative fields preferred.
- Experience running Marketing Mix Models (MMM), incrementality tests, optimization, and other forms of Data Science tools in R or other coding languages.
- Advanced analytics capabilities: ability to build and run statistical models with clear outputs.
- Proficient in Excel; experience with Vlookups, indexing, and writing formulas.
- Intermediate to advanced programming capabilities in R and Python; able to write functions, manipulate data, research functions, and run linear and non-linear regression models.
- Geo-spatial analysis experience is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft products and building PowerPoint decks for analysis.
- Detail-oriented, with a focus on accurate and clear outputs based on thoroughly checked data.
- A desire to ensure insights are applicable and used by recipients.
- Clear experience in developing insights that drive business change and growth.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, willing to take on new challenges and explore client questions in innovative ways with new data sources.
- Digital media channel experience is a plus.
Additional Information
This position is a temporary contract for 4 months, which may evolve into a more permanent role with additional responsibilities as the work expands.
