Job Description

OpenDor Media is seeking freelance video editors to join their team, focusing on creating entertaining educational YouTube and social media videos about Judaism and Israel. The ideal candidate should have prior experience with YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok videos, showcasing a proven track record of videos that maintain strong viewer retention and achieve high views. The video editor must possess the ability to maintain a broader perspective while implementing feedback, being both a team player and self-motivated. This is a remote position.

Requirements

• Previous experience in video editing for YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
• Proven track record of producing videos with strong viewer retention and high views.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Ability to edit videos using native platforms for Instagram and TikTok.
• Experience in editing narration, selecting best takes, and ensuring optimal audio quality.
• Research skills for gathering materials such as b-roll footage and archival images while adhering to legal guidelines for use on social media.
• Collaboration skills to work effectively with motion graphics teams when necessary.
• Basic color correction knowledge.
• Capability to search for and edit music into videos as needed.
• Sound editing and mixing skills for final sequences.
• Willingness to act as an assistant editor, which may involve gathering materials, choosing selects, and laying down subtitles.
