The main role of a Video Editor at Hogarth involves the creative editing of digital content such as corporate videos, TVCs, and mood films, following creative and sensitive audiovisual criteria. Key responsibilities include precision editorial changes, clocking broadcast compliant TVCs, creating graphics and animations, media management, encoding and transferring for approval, and collaborating with various teams to gather resources.

Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of media industry experience.
• High level of English is an asset.
• Clear understanding of customer care/service.
• Creative flair in video editing.
• Positive “can-do” service attitude.
• Excellent time management skills and multi-tasking abilities.
• Quality checks to ensure the highest standards of output.
• Familiarity with audiovisual and creative criteria.
• Adaptability to new working methods and technology (e.g., AI, programming).
• Eager to learn and share knowledge with the team.
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Media Encoder.
• Working knowledge of Da Vinci is an asset.
• Understanding of good animation practices with comfort in 2D and 2.5D animation.
• Familiarity with standard After Effects plugins such as Optical Flare and Particular.
• Comfortable using Mac OSX, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Media Encoder.
• Thorough understanding of media formats, video codecs, and broadcast post-production workflows.
• Illustration skills are a plus.
