Job Description

The role requires the ability to work in an Agile development team, interpreting requirements, designing, developing, and unit testing new software, as well as amending or bug fixing existing modules. Requirements

Qualifications & Work Experience:

• BSc or equivalent experience in a software engineering discipline (preferred, but not essential for the right candidate).
• Good communication skills for collaboration with functions outside of development.
• Understanding of formal software development methodologies.
• Awareness and understanding of principles, theories, practices, and techniques for delivering software development projects.
• Awareness of C# and the .NET framework.

Skills Required:

• Contribute to development as a hands-on developer within the team.
• Proactively seek guidance for effective delivery and skill development.
• Ensure code reviews and unit testing are conducted per departmental guidelines.
• Report work status in a timely manner, highlighting risks and issues.
• Triage software defects without impacting deliverables and communicate with the Product Owner/Scrum Master on timelines.
• Stay updated on technology trends and suggest improvements to development processes and tools.
• Meet agreed productivity targets and communicate any challenges early.
• Perform other activities in support of business as expected within the employee’s capabilities.
