Join the team redefining how the world experiences design. As a Staff Frontend Engineer in the Monetization Group, you will play a critical role in developing and optimizing user experiences that drive customer growth and conversion at Canva. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to create innovative solutions that enhance Canva’s revenue streams. Your expertise will help guide technical decisions, ensure scalability, and set new standards for frontend development excellence.

Requirements

You’re probably a match if you have:

• Extensive experience in modern frontend development, with strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or similar frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable, high-performance web applications.
• Hands-on experience capable of delivering on complex projects.
• A solid understanding of accessibility, performance optimization, and responsive design principles for cross-platform applications.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and mentor others effectively.
• Experience with A/B testing, analytics tools, and data-driven product development, machine learning, and personalisation models is a plus.
• A passion for experimentation and innovation in user experiences.
• Familiarity with backend integration and cloud technologies like AWS is advantageous.
• A dedication to improving engineering best practices and proactively identifying solutions and improvements in the existing codebase.
