Job Description

We are a crowdfunded company with a dedicated and enthusiastic community of backers committed to creating the “Best Damn Space Sim Ever.” As a Gameplay Programmer, you will work with our bespoke, cutting-edge, multi-threaded engine to develop gameplay mechanics and systems that immerse players in vast and highly detailed spacescapes. Your work will involve creating a wide range of realistic and systemic features that simulate various gameplay experiences, including multi-crew space flight combat, planetary first-person shooter, asteroid mining, cargo running, bounty hunting, and cinematic storytelling.

Requirements

To become a Gameplay Programmer, we expect you to have:

• A true passion for making games.
• Comfort working with C++ in a large, shared codebase.
• A good knowledge of 3D mathematics.
• Experience with programming game features and systems.
• The ability to work well in a co-located yet collaborative team environment.
• The capability to explain and present technical solutions to both programmers and team members from other disciplines.
