Job Description

Razorfish is seeking a hands-on, hybrid editor and videographer to be part of a new team crafting social media content solutions for a multi-brand client. This role aims to break traditional agency norms and involves high-volume content execution working directly with client and agency teams to enhance the social media experience while increasing followers across high-visibility branded accounts. The position is hybrid, requiring 3 days in the New York City office and allows for 2 days of remote work.

Qualifications

A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in video editing and videography.

Proficient in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro) and DaVinci Resolve color correction software.

Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and timing.

Familiarity with color grading and sound editing.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines.

Creative problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.

Strong time management skills and expertise in social media and pop culture.

Passion for social media and willingness to appear in content (hands, face, voice) as needed.

A portfolio showcasing your best work in both video editing and videography.

Possible overtime or weekend work may be required.

Preferred qualifications include experience with motion graphics software (e.g., Adobe After Effects) and previous experience in social content creation, advertising, or entertainment.

Responsibilities

Maintain a social-first mentality and stay updated on the latest tools and trends within social media platforms.

Appear in, shoot, and contribute to a small social-first production team.

Edit video footage into high-quality content for various social media platforms, optimizing videos for different devices.

Manage post-production tasks including color grading and sound editing, ensuring quality and timely delivery of final files.

Functionally report to the Agency Producer for assigning and managing priority shoots and edits, organizing assets, and delivering error-free video content.

Keep up-to-date with the latest video and motion graphic trends and technologies.

Compensation

Compensation for this role is projected to range from $66,785 to $101,085 annually, based on skills, qualifications, and experience. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in the freelancer/temporary employee medical plan and a 401(k) plan after meeting eligibility criteria.
