Job Description
Exclusive opportunity for a Social Media Manager to join a UK membership body on a 12 month FTC basis (mat cover). Reporting into the head of Digital, the successful candidate will work as part of a wider marketing team and be primarily focused on social media, paid social campaign execution and community management. The role requires one day a week in the St Albans office, with the remaining four days working from home. Must be able to start within 1 month.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee social media channels, schedule and publish content, respond to engagement, and optimise performance.
- Build and nurture online communities (including WhatsApp), ensuring meaningful interactions, moderating discussions, and responding to inquiries across digital platforms.
- Plan and execute paid (LinkedIn, X) advertising campaigns to increase awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
- Create and manage digital content, including videos, graphics, and infographics, ensuring brand consistency.
- Maintain and update the website, membership hub, and other digital platforms for seamless user experiences.
- Monitor social media and digital marketing performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimisation.
- Support the development of e-newsletters, blogs, and other digital communications to engage audiences.
- Educate teams on effective social media and community engagement strategies.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, implementing best practices to enhance digital engagement and community management.
- Proactively manage online discussions, addressing concerns and ensuring positive brand representation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in social media management, digital marketing, and community engagement.
- Strong background in community management, fostering active and engaged online audiences.
- Experience with paid digital advertising and campaign performance tracking.
- Experience in LinkedIn, X, WhatsApp; nice to have experience in TikTok, Meta, Google Display.
- Ability to create and brief digital assets (video, graphics, audio, etc.).
- Knowledge of website management, analytics tools, and CRM platforms.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and project management skills.
- Ability to adapt to emerging digital trends and implement innovative engagement strategies.
