Job Description
The University of Bradford is seeking an experienced senior leader and strategic marketer to lead, develop, and motivate the team responsible for student recruitment marketing in the newly created role of Head of Marketing and Digital. This leadership position is particularly timely as the University prepares for the City of Culture 2025 and aims to maintain its top position in the UK Social Mobility Index. The role involves delivering, evaluating, and developing the University’s marketing strategy to meet ambitious student number targets, employing innovative and creative digital approaches to student recruitment.
The Head of Marketing and Digital will collaborate closely with colleagues within the Marketing team and across the University to ensure a coordinated approach to student recruitment marketing and to provide a best-in-class digital experience for stakeholders. The postholder will need to influence colleagues, demonstrating personal resilience and flexibility to meet changing demands and priorities. Initially, the role will require a significant on-campus presence to facilitate acclimatization and relationship building.
Requirements
Qualifications/Experience:
- Extensive experience at a senior level in marketing and digital roles in complex market environments.
- Experience leading and managing high-performance marketing and digital teams.
- Proven leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to inspire and achieve high standards.
- Excellent planning and organizing skills with demonstrable project management experience.
- A Level 7 qualification in Marketing or equivalent substantial professional experience.
- A marketing or business-related degree or equivalent professional experience.
