Job Title: Web Site Designer - Editorial

Location: Manhattan, NY, 10038

Duration: 3 Months

Job Type: Contract

Work Type: Hybrid

Pay rate: $40-40/HR

Overview: The Designer position will work on a new editorial-focused website for a client, which is the world’s largest intimate speciality retailer. The designer will collaborate with editorial leads, and creative and marketing teams to concept and design stories for the site.

Responsibilities include overseeing the design and consistency of the homepage and article pages, conducting photo research, and creating visual executions using existing assets. The candidate should be excited about the brand, have a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Experience designing for an editorial website
  • WordPress design experience
  • Ability to create graphic collages and design solutions using existing images
  • Photo research skills utilizing a variety of stock sites
  • Up to date on the latest trends in fashion and social media
  • Strong communication skills
  • Quick thinker and problem solver
  • Team player
  • Willingness and excitement to learn
  • Dedicated to career, seeking a long-term commitment and desire to level up

Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years in a design role/experience preferred (including internship)
  • Previous fashion editorial experience
  • Complete fluency and proficiency in the use of Mac and Adobe Suite programs
  • Complete fluency in WordPress
