Job Description

Job Title: Product Designer – Tax & Legal Technology

Base Location: Glasgow based (Hybrid – 2 days per week in office)

The KPMG Tax & Legal Technical Engineering function is a cornerstone of our business, focusing on supporting technical innovation and the adoption of cutting-edge solutions across the United Kingdom. The team is responsible for delivering technology-enabled outcomes across the Tax & Legal business using modern engineering methodologies, including Cloud-based technologies.

You will be part of the Tax Technology & Innovation team, responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions for UK and global tax products. The role involves collaboration with a small design team and cross-functional groups, offering clear career progression.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience as a Product Designer or UX/UI Designer, with a portfolio showcasing user-centred design for web or mobile products.

• Proficiency in Figma (or equivalent), including creating components, building prototypes, and crafting detailed design artifacts for developer handoffs.

• Excellent grasp of UX principles, user research methods, interaction design, and visual design fundamentals.

• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

• Enthusiasm for delivering excellent products and user experiences.

Amazing Extras

• Experience in front-end development (HTML/CSS) or familiarity with frameworks such as Blazor, React, or Angular.

• Experience in creating, maintaining, and evolving design systems for scalable, multi-product environments.

• Experience in planning, conducting, and synthesizing user research to inform product design decisions.

• Experience working alongside development teams to address design-to-code challenges, ensuring designs are implemented accurately.
