Job Description

Title: Game Developer

Location: Birmingham

Type: Hybrid (3 Days onsite)

Contract: 9 Months (Until December 2025)

Start date: March 2025

We are looking for a Technical Game Developer/Designer to create fun and engaging games and content. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing first-party content within our proprietary engine, collaborating with the content team and other development teams, including audio, art, and UI specialists.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, script, and debug gameplay features using TypeScript
• Create reusable scripted gameplay elements with a high level of polish
• Prototype gameplay concepts to bring ideas to life
• Oversee cross-platform playtesting and iterate designs based on data
• Work with engineers to refine game editors and scripting APIs

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in gameplay scripting or engineering
• Strong understanding of game architecture and common mechanics
• Experience with TypeScript or similar scripting languages such as Lua, Python
• Experience with Unity, Unreal Engine, or similar
• Game-as-a-Service (GaaS) or LiveOps experience
• Experience designing for VR/AR
