Job Description

A Junior Artist - Animation is responsible for the creation of efficient and high-quality animation for a range of visual effects projects. They work closely alongside Animation Leads and Supervisors to create appealing animation with convincing performances and physicality. Their work is expected to meet the standard set by the Animation Supervisor who ensures the quality matches the requirements of MPC’s Clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow the production schedule and complete the tasks delegated to them by the Animation Supervisor.
• Attend Dailies sessions, present their work, and take notes.
• Support the team and perform tasks that would otherwise slow down a more Senior artist, as delegated by their supervisor.
• Check thoroughly the quality of their work before passing it downstream.
• Identify and communicate any setbacks to their tasks that may impact their deadlines.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by your Line Manager or a Key Business Relationship.

Qualifications

Technical & Soft Skills

• Previous experience in a VFX environment - Preferred.
• Foundational knowledge of physics, performance, and anatomy - Preferred.
• Foundational knowledge of camera terminology - Required.

Preferred Software Knowledge

• Maya - Foundational.
• Knowledge of a linux-based environment - Foundational.
