Job Description

The SPH Chinese Media Group is seeking a highly motivated Video Editor to work on a short-term project (4 months). In this role, you will be responsible for video editing, designing motion graphics for web and mobile video content, and creating short reels for various social media platforms.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conceptualising and visualising stories, and editing video packages independently for different audiences.
• Conducting ongoing and proactive communication within the team and across departments to drive relevant productions, gather information, and create appropriate visual and audio content in a timely manner.
• Quickly acquiring an understanding of existing operational workflows, new equipment and system setups, as well as upgrades to system applications.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:

• A Degree/Diploma in relevant fields, with at least 1 year of relevant working experience.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite - Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition, etc.; familiarity with social video production tools like CapCut is a plus.
• Effective bilingual proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese, as this role supports a Chinese publication.
• Organised, independent, and able to prioritise assignments under tight timelines.
• Thorough knowledge of PC and MAC operating systems.
