Job Description

The SPH Chinese Media Group is seeking a Social Media Content Producer to develop content for Lianhe Zaobao’s (ZB) social media platforms for a short-term project. The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable about the latest social media trends across various platforms, including WeChat, Xiaohongshu, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Key responsibilities include:

• Producing engaging original content such as social posts and short videos daily.
• Re-adapting existing ZB content for social media to engage audiences.
• Staying updated on the latest social media trends and understanding audience preferences.
• Adhering to and implementing social media best practices when applicable.
• Cultivating positive and engaging relationships with social media audiences.
• Monitoring social media reach and engagement metrics, and generating actionable insights.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in a relevant field of study such as Mass Media, Communications, Public Relations, or Chinese studies.
• At least 1 year of relevant working experience as a digital content creator.
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese, focusing on a Chinese-speaking audience.
• Passionate about current affairs.
• Familiarity with Chinese social media platforms such as WeChat and Xiaohongshu is advantageous.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently as well as collaboratively with various stakeholders.

This is a short-term project role, and candidates are expected to demonstrate their ability to engage effectively with audiences on various social media platforms while staying updated on emerging trends.
