Motion Graphic Designer, Illustrator, Animator

Mission: Create high-quality, engaging, and visually compelling motion graphics, illustrations, and animations that effectively communicate client narratives, brand identities, and complex ideas in a dynamic and visually striking way. Collaborate with the team to push creative boundaries, ensuring that Salamandra.uk remains at the forefront of the animation and design industry.

Requirements

Outcomes (Key Deliverables & Success Metrics):

• Creative Execution & Storytelling: Deliver at least 5+ high-quality motion graphic projects per quarter aligning with client objectives and Salamandra.uk’s creative standards. Ensure narrative clarity and audience engagement, measured through internal and client feedback.
• Efficiency & Deadline Management: Consistently meet 100% of project deadlines while maintaining high quality. Optimize workflow for an average of 20% efficiency improvement in production time within the first six months.
• Technical Proficiency & Innovation: Master and apply advanced animation techniques using Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Blender, or similar tools. Integrate new design and animation trends, contributing to one innovation initiative per quarter.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work seamlessly with the art director, designers, and producer to bring concepts to life. Incorporate feedback from internal reviews and clients, achieving a 90%+ approval rate on first revisions.
• Brand Alignment & Client Impact: Ensure all deliverables align with Salamandra.uk’s brand philosophy and client expectations. Maintain a client satisfaction score of 90%+ based on project feedback and retention metrics.

Competencies (Key Traits & Skills for Success):

• Creative & Artistic Excellence: Strong visual storytelling ability, high attention to detail in illustration, motion, and composition, and a passion for aesthetics and innovative design.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Creative Cloud with 3+ years and a strong portfolio and showreel in Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop (Blender a plus). Solid understanding of animation principles, typography, compositing, layout, video editing, photo editing, storyboarding, animatics, vector character design, and audio design. Ability to create both 2D and mixed-media animations and interest in 3D.
• Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Efficiency in troubleshooting design and animation challenges, adaptability to changing client needs and industry trends, strong time management to juggle multiple projects.
• Communication & Collaboration: Clear articulation of creative ideas, ability to receive feedback constructively, strong teamwork skills, confident in presenting work and explaining creative choices.
