Responsibilities

  • Generating innovative, conceptual product design work that excites our clients and helps set the vision for the creative approach.
  • Develop plans for site architecture and content.
  • Translate ideas and insights into innovative design concepts, using techniques such as sketching, mood boarding, wireframing, and prototyping to bring these ideas to life.
  • Design finely-tuned interfaces with strong consideration to responsive UI layout, typography, content, and animation.
  • Shape design solutions that deliver an excellent customer experience while balancing business goals and technical considerations.
  • Engage positively in design reviews with the team and explain, discuss, and justify design decisions.
  • Confidently present work to clients with clear rationale and enthusiasm around the proposed solution.
  • Demonstrate authority and conviction in the presentation of your work.
  • Support senior directors in the execution of project-based work, new business, and agency tasks.
  • Take responsibility for the quality of your design work and collaborate with developers to ensure its accurate implementation.
  • Plan and execute user research and testing scenarios that provide actionable insights to aid the design process.
  • Provide detailed handovers to developers, ensuring design files are neatly organized and that user stories are reflective of the design solution.
  • Work collaboratively with the development team to ensure the end product lives up to the proposed design, performing design QA/conformance on staging environments.
  • Support the Product Designer Lead and Creative Director in production and review of project estimates.
  • Contribute your voice to the agency practice through sharing inspirational research and ideas for evolving the design process.
  • Keep on top of software updates and help to shape and improve design processes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • An online portfolio or selection of live projects which can be reviewed, demonstrating experience in product design and versatility in your style and techniques.
  • Experience of working within a digital agency environment or in-house Product Design team.
  • Previous experience of having worked on large-scale or complex digital products, either web or native.
  • A base level understanding of HTML and CSS.
  • Familiarity with design software (i.e. Sketch, InVision, Adobe Suite, InVision, Keynote).
  • Comfortable with a range of design techniques such as sketching, wireframing, and prototyping.
  • Confident in challenging colleagues and clients with research to drive an improved outcome.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team of designers.
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to plan and manage deliverables in line with challenging timescales.
  • Produce work that meets client objectives and is of a consistently high standard.
  • Have a professional attitude - focused, punctual, collaborative, and a team player.
